Azure Compute head of product Paul Nash shared insights and best practices for running business critical apps in Azure. The upcoming Insights and Practices to Run Business-Critical Apps on Azure webinar will delve into the topic in more depth. Three different installments will focus on topics such as the cloud transition, scaling data analytics, and running ERP solutions.

Microsoft fellow Victor Bahl discussed Microsoft’s deployment of a core cellular network to Azure to test out the process for operators. He highlighted the company’s work with an automated management layer to reduce costs and microservices.

Whether an operator chooses a Microsoft first-party VNF or cloud-native network function (CNF) or chooses to work with the third-party VNF or CNF partners certified on the Azure platform, Azure will ensure the underlying cloud platform provides the necessary orchestration, management, and exposure capabilities to ensure resiliency, manage performance, and automate execution needed to support core network workloads.
