Questions about CRM with “AI integration”

What's the deal with CRMs and "AI integration"? Are they good or is it "not quite there yet"?

Is it worth it? Do you see more productivity? ROI?

I built a SuiteCRM for a friend before the pandemic. She owns a travel agency business –so good thing I did the work for free because she got crushed when people stopped travelling.

She now wants me to rebuild her CRM and integrate "AI". She wants chatbots, email scanning, etc. a whole bunch of stuff. She wants what would normally cost $250/month (min 10 users).

Is it there yet? To those who have access to good AI CRMs, is it really really good? Or is it "close but not quite yet"?
