CRM rec for managing both current and prospective B2B customers

We are in the CPG space and are looking to finally implement a CRM to better manage our sales process. I thought I was going to use PipeDrive, but once I started trying to set it up, realized it was really more geared towards prospective sales and wasn't ideal for managing current customers (or, rather, it can, but seemed to require a lot of effort for what we want to do.)

Currently the business is just myself, but a part time sales person will likely be the first hire, so we're looking at 1-2 users.

For managing prospective sales – these are stores we are pitching to carry our products. Currently we send drip email campaigns through Mailshake. Ideally I'd drop MailShake and just run this all through the CRM. And ideally I'd be able to import our Mailshake history – previously I was looking at CRMs with integrations, which is one of the reasons I considered Pipedrive, but now I realize I can probably just do a csv export from Mailshake and any CRM could import it.

In terms of prospective leads – I mostly just want to keep track of email pitch campaigns, where they are at and whether they've opened, clicked or responded. These are generally cold to warm pitches, so that's a requirement.

I also would like to keep track of current customers. Once they've bought from us, I don't have a good system of keeping track of when they last ordered and whether we need to check in to prompt reorders.

For current customers, we use Xero for accounting, so the ability to sync to that and pull in invoices so that we know when they've ordered and how long since their last order. Many of our sales are through distributors, so we would need to either manually enter those sales, or import sales reports in various formats we receive them in.

Ease of implementation and cost are considerations. I'm sure SalesForce would work, but I've heard it takes a lot to get set up and is probably overkill for what we need.

Any recommendations for something that can handle the above, is low cost and easy to set up, would be much appreciated! Thank you.
