This is Steve Pestillo from P2 Automation. Here I want to show you how you can sort the data in your views.

Sorting couldn’t be easier. If you want to sort by Last Name for example, you can click Sort and sort alphabetically or reverse alphabetically, and there you go. You can do the same thing with First Name. Now once you do that, the system isn’t looking at Last Name any longer. You can sort by Company Name and even Website, even though these fields aren’t part of the Contact table.

Now if I sort on Last Name, that’s great, it’s a common thing to do with Contacts. What often happens though is you’ll have multiple contacts with the same last name, so you want to do a secondary sort and sort by First Name. To do that, all you have to do is hold your shift key down on your keyboard and sort on that column. You’ll see two arrows appear and it’s sorting first by the Last Name and then by the First Name. So all the Smiths will be alphabetized by first name for example.
