As health officials work to procure, distribute, and deploy Covid-19 vaccines to the public, they are calling on new digital systems to achieve their goals. Vaccine delivery is increasing, some new applications are not keeping up.

Microsoft’s work for the state of New Jersey became a point of criticism in recent days as officials revealed problems with an appointment booking system that was in need of frequent fixes and updates and had, according to Bloomberg, forced individual facilities and regional governments in the area to use their own scheduling systems.

New Jersey officials report that their primary public-facing system has faced  a range of issues, from blocking some visitors to double-booking others to crashing.
