Which CRM use for pilotproject? (HubSpot vs. Dynamics 365 vs. ?)

Hi there.

I'm working in university in role related to client relationship managing.
To make information flow between departments and divisions more effective university wants to implement CRM system in daily work.

I have given a task to create and lead pilot project where few departments will use chosen CRM system for some time month or two and using findings of it and feedback will move on to long-term CRM system.
I think in short term all what we need would be contact list with e-mail history / notes etc., project tracking (deals). Analytics and document links / storage probably will come up later.

Since I have used HubSpot and it is free (for basic) functions, I would like to use it.
University has a lot systems from MS 365, so Dynamics 365 might be other candidate, but it financially be overkills (like 65Eur for one user in Sales part of app.)

What are you thoughts?
