Now, let’s revisit the latest updates we mentioned:

In the spirit of ongoing enhancement, we are excited to introduce a new and innovative addition to the Undo2Restore App, the “Undo2Restore tool”. This Windows-based tool operates independently of your CRM environment and is deployable on both Dynamics 365 CRM online and on-premises versions. While the Undo2Restore app already allows users to restore multiple deleted records concurrently, the tool takes it a step further by enabling efficient restoration of (N) number of deleted records and undoing changes for (N) number of records in bulk.

Let’s explore the Undo2Restore Tool in detail:

You can download the tool from our website, install it on your local machine, and easily configure it by following our comprehensive product documentation.

Note: To use this tool, you must have the main Undo2Restore app installed in your CRM.

After successfully configuring the tool and logging in with your CRM credentials, two options will be presented:

  • Bulk Restore Deleted Records
  • Bulk Undo Record Changes

Depending on your specific needs, choose the relevant option and proceed with the operations as illustrated below:

  • Refine your restoration scope by applying filters based on specific entity views, such as “Accounts being followed.” To restore records deleted within a particular timeframe, simply choose ‘From’ and ‘To’ Once satisfied with your selections, confidently bring your data back to life by clicking the ‘Restore’ button. It’s that straightforward.
  • Upon successful restoration, the tool will provide crucial metrics related to the record restoration process, including Total Record Count, Total Records Restored, and Failure Count.

Now that we’ve addressed the process of restoring deleted records, let’s explore the steps for reversing changes.

Undo Unwanted Changes in Bulk: Save yourself the hassle of manually retracing each step. With the Undo2Restore Tool, you can revert unwanted record changes in bulk. Here’s a breakdown of how the tool facilitates this:

  • Choose “Undo Changes” and click “Proceed”.

  • Specify the fields for undoing changes, such as ‘Account Name’ and ‘Account Number.’
  • Set dates or a time period to undo changes made during a specific timeframe. You can opt for ‘Till Date’ to reverse alterations made after a chosen date (e.g., September 4th, 2023) or ‘Between Dates’ to undo changes within a defined period. After configuring these preferences, click ‘Undo’ and confirm with ‘Yes’.
  • The Undo2Restore Tool will initiate bulk undo of record changes. Upon completion, a popup displaying details of the undone records will appear simply click ‘OK’ to finish the process.
  • Now the Tool will present vital record modification metrics, including Total Record Count, Total Records Modified, and Failure Count.

Additionally, the tool allows you to download and save all modified records as an Excel file on your local machine. This feature comes in handy for having an offline version of updates or for sharing the revised records with higher-ups.
