TLDR: Need a simple, one-stop SMS messaging solution to deliver unique URL addresses.

I work as a survey coordinator for a state natural resources agency. My job is to collect information about hunting activity from our hunters using email-based surveys. I use an online survey tool called Alchemer (similar to SurveyMonkey) to build, host, and deliver surveys. Importantly, because I need to be able to identify who did/did not respond to my surveys, sending survey campaigns natively within Alchemer is super convenient because it tracks individuals by assigning each person a unique survey URL address.

I’d like to expand into the use of SMS messages to deliver surveys. While Alchemer does have the functionality to send surveys via an SMS campaign, and it works reasonably well, the message comes from an out-of-state area code which tends to confuse some hunters. I think there’d be less confusion if the message came from a generic 5-digit number commonly used for text notifications from business. Ultimately, I need an SMS messaging solution that: (1) comes from a generic number, (2) allows me to send individualized survey URL links into the message body of each text.

There’s an overwhelming number of options to try (e.g., MailChimp, Twilio, etc…), but most of these seem tailored to marketing and sales… which I really don’t care about. I’m hoping the good people of the CRM community can point me in the right direction.
