What does an AI-generated user journey look like?

Anyone else sick of hearing about GenAI?

Here's an actually useful use case for AI: Creating automated user journeys.

Here's what one looked like for an eComm app (You can see a visual representation of the journey here):

💬 On 6/1, our AI sent a message and the user viewed an item.

💬 The user wasn't showing interest signals, so the AI didn't send any messages for about three weeks (to prevent user churn), until around 6/20 when it tried sending a message with a specific product recommendation (No luck).

💬 The model tried again in early July with a more general interest message. The user viewed multiple items shortly after.

💬 After the user viewed items, our model tried sending a 35% discount to encourage them to add an item to cart. When they didn't, it sent a few more product-specific recommended suggestions based on their previous views.

💬 When it saw that there were no signs of interest, the model again let the user rest (again, reducing message volume to prevent churn).

💬 After another three weeks (purely coincidence that this aligns with the last "rest period"), the model sent a message emphasizing the convenience of ordering from this particular eCommerce platform. This triggered more views and an add to cart.

💬 Now that the user had products in their cart, the model sent a 30% discount to encourage them to complete the checkout (which they did).

💬 Following the purchase, the AI sent a notification about a similar, related product to encourage a cross sale.

…and if you look at the journey for another user, it looks completely different. (I made a video that reviewed a couple journeys here).

Who else has found any *actually useful* uses for AI in user engagement?
