I just joined a vc backed, seed stage prop tech startup. It’s a mix between tech (building a software for transparent property management for real estate investors) and blue collar (we also have a business unit that physically manages our investors’ properties and helps with tenant turnover).

We are considering LeadSimple because it’s a niche crm specifically built for property management companies. It’s useful because not only does it have a good sales/marketing system, but it truly helps with operations in the context of managing each rental unit we bring on.

I’ve used hubspot for my past tech startup experience and it’s definitely the gold standard. It’s much more expensive and has more capabilities.

Pros of hubspot: – better data reporting -more complete marketing/sales automation – built to scale for large companies – Better Ui

Cons of hubspot: – very expensive for a startup with 10 people – less operational functionality compared to lead simple in context of managing commercial property -more need for in-house sales ops expert to build functionality we need

Pros of LeadSimple – literally built for what we are doing for operations – cheaper, scales in price linearly -simpler in functionality

Cons of LeadSimple – less robust marketing capabilities – less robust data reporting – less intuitive UI

If anyone has experience using Hubspot for property management startups or experience managing a sales team with LeadSimple please tap in!
