Hoping someone can help me understand what I'm looking for. Our company is in private equity, and we use a variety of tools…. CRE for Investor Management, Realpage for real estate and property management. For Task management/Project Management we use excel spreadsheets, the free version of Asana, outlook calendar, and teams (but we don't really utilize teams). Important to note, our team is smaller than 15 employees.

We're specifically looking for a way to better track our tasks, and view timelines for critical dates across all projects. We would like to be able to have a system to track tasks for the entire life of a deal. I've found that several real estate platforms really only support one phase i.e. DealPath used for Acquistion Management.

I'm being pointed in a number of directions and don't have a good grip on the difference between a CRM, Low Code, or companies that build out expensive software for you…. are any of these even our solution? CRM is for sales processing which I believe we already have grip on with RealPage and our Investor relations software. We need one tool and we're trying to avoid bringing on multiple.

I think from what I've learned, we only need asana right now and could use the paid business version to fix the issues we're having. For task management why would we use a CRM? and if we do use a CRM can it track all tasks for every phase of a deal, and manage day-to-day office tasks that aren't related to a specific project?
