Deacom, Inc., an enterprise software company headquartered in Chesterbrook, PA, has been recognized as one of Philadelphia Inquirer’s Top Workplaces 2021. The annual list highlights organizations that have affirmed their commitment to their people, and is assembled based on employee feedback gathered through a vetted third-party, Energage LLC.
“We are so proud to again have been selected as one of the Philadelphia Inquirer Top Workplaces,” said Scott Deakins, COO of Deacom. “The last 13 months have been challenging for all of us, requiring us to adapt to social distancing guidelines, safety protocols and new arrangements. What we have achieved for our business and for our clients was only possible because of our incredible team and the effort they put forth during such a difficult and challenging period. This honor is as much theirs as it is ours.”
While many businesses were forced to initiate layoffs, furloughs and reduced working hours during the peak of the pandemic, Deacom persevered. The company experienced significant, organic growth in all of its offices: Chesterbrook, PA; Denver, CO; and Frankfurt, Germany. In 2020, the company welcomed 45 new employees and awarded 20 merit-based promotions throughout the organization including development, IT, executive leadership, process engineering, and program management.

Now in its 12th year, the Philadelphia Inquirer Top Workplaces award is based on a scientific survey of employees who rate their workplace culture. Alignment, execution and connection are among the 15 culture drivers that were measured for each business. All organizations are eligible to participate free of charge provided they employ at least 50 people in the Delaware Valley region.
