I use a number of different CRMs at work: Zoho, Nationbuilder, SalesForce and I have used Sugar in the past. I want to use something similar for cataloging and managing my reading list.
Using terminology from Zoho, my ideal book database scenario would be to use the Accounts modules for authors and the Contacts module for all the titles by that author, to which I would also like to assign tags (such as to-read and have-read) and categories (which I may use for subject matter).
I'd like it to be cloud based to use in my PC browser as well as ipad. And free.
I have downloaded my shelves from Goodreads but the data is not really high quality, in that
I know I'm asking a lot but before I trial various platforms I'd love to know if this sounds feasible.
