Enterprise software vendor Pega has hired Hayden Stafford, formerly Microsoft’s head of sales for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. Stafford joins Pegasystems today as president of global client engagement and will report to Pega CEO Alan Trefler, the company announced.

Stafford’s role is a new one for Pega, according to a statement from the company’s Q1 earnings report in April. His role “will unify Pega’s Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Go-to-Market functions,” according to their earnings announcement.

As CVP for Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, Stafford had overseen high growth areas of Microsoft’s cloud portfolio. He spoke in early 2020 to Microsoft MVP Mark Smith about a new $250 million investment in business applications sales efforts, including 400 new sales hires, 100 new members of the partner success team, and overall over a thousand additional hires in the go-to-market team across the Dynamics business in FY 2020.
