Google Cloud Solutions-Google has announced the launches of a number of updated services. It is well known that Google has been focusing its cloud services on a variety of niches and industries including manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services. The retail industry has always been present on Google’s list and they’ve finally placed more focus on providing retail-oriented cloud services.

Amazon’s competitors are looking for more cloud solutions other than AWS, thus growing the popular demand for services that Google will provide. Most of the announcements that took place at the NRF 2020 event are related to specific vertical editions of already existing services, even though there are a couple new things thrown in there as well.

Google’s already existing services such as Google Cloud API Management, Google Cloud Search, and Google Cloud Anthos have all been improved to target retailers. These services provide better product search results in retail applications and help retailers plan and manage their best shopping days.

The main target audience for these updates are retailers who aim to modernize their stores, including both infrastructures and operations behind them. Besides providing better services, Google also has the goal to expand its customers programs by making them more readily available.

These programs include the Retail Acceleration Program and the Customer Reliability Engineering service. When it comes new services on their list, the company mentioned their Google Cloud 1:1 Engagement for Retail, which helps retailers build data-driven solutions at less up-front costs.

The new service allows retailers to take advantage of Google’s massive data platform in order to introduce personalization and recommendation models to their apps. This will help them better understand their customers and engage them on a deeper level.
