Importing data into Power Platform CDS
Mirko Bonello explained how users can insert data from a JSON endpoint with the Power Automate Parse JSON feature. The feature supports deducing the JSON response body scheme and validating content data against the schema at runtime. Getting data into Common Data Service is a huge benefit, making it available for use with other services like Power Automate flows and Power Apps.
According to Bonello, the feature can also fire off when a business event occurs, triggering from a D365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) business event. He demonstrated how to download a JSON definition from D365FO and load it so that its properties are exposed as referencable variables for flows.
