How to reply to a mail in same thread

Hey!! I am using close crm APIs for scheduling and sending mails to leads. I wanted to schedule 3 emails for the same lead, if he didnot replied to first then we send second and if didnot reply to second we will send third. And I want to send these 3 emails in same email thread not a different new email. How can we achieve this in close.
