( votes)Hello!
I am currently working in business development (mostly sales) for a small company. I work in plastics and custom flexible packaging. The company I am apart of has a network of others we work with as partners, but we are specifically 5 people under one name here.
For relevancy: Of our people, 3 of them are at retirement age (including the owner), one guy is probably late 40's to mid 50's, and myself (mid 20's). Everyone else has done sales and business through paper files, Outlook, and *some* Excel, to which they are *all* happy with and have expressed they *will not* change their ways.
I have expressed that I am finding the pen and paper method with trying to do everything in paper calendars + Outlook just isn't super efficient for myself. I have ADHD and do not love how various medications have made me feel, so I am hoping for a recommended solution.
I have seen people say Salesforce/Hubspot/Act! and a few others, but it seems like those are all set up for companies that have 10+ people who *are* going to be using it. Mainly the pricetags I have seen effect this. My boss green lit paying for the CRM if it'll help me, but he won't approve paying for a 5+person license if they're not going to be used. Is there some form of CRM that may help me better manage being a salesman? I am still pretty new to sales and would like to see what I can do if better tools are an option.
TY in advance
