CRM for a charity in Australia

I work for a small disability charity in Australia that is looking for a CRM to help with the organisation.

We interact with clients and provide counselling, support, and training, so it would need some capacity or function to record these sensitive client notes.

We provide disability-specific training to other care organisations, support workers, and to places like schools, supported living institutions, aged care facilities, etc, so it would need to be able to assist with this sales process of making contact or taking inquiries, sending quotes, scheduling training, reminders of when training/certification needs to be renewed etc

We do fundraising events, and rely somewhat on volunteers to help with these sorts of tasks. And of course, we rely on donations. So it would need to be able to help record and track that as well.

We also loan out disability equipment, so it would be a bonus if we could keep track of that as well.

Like most small non-profits, our first CRM was basically excel spreadsheets all over the place, but this is rapidly becoming untenable.

I'd estimate we're looking at several thousand clients across our various databases(spreadsheets); I'm not sure how we've lasted this long using excel.

Wondering if the wise people of reddit had any suggestions of what sort of CRM might suit us?

Most seem to have a very sales-focus or a donations-focus, which as I mentioned above are important, but we will also want something that will be able to capture if we've provided counselling and support to someone.

A paid service is acceptable, as long as it's not too exorbitant. Bonus if it has a charity discount.

Certain brands keep being mentioned, like Salesforce, or Hubspot, but I'm worried they have a commercial focus which might not suit the work we are doing. I've heard Zoho and its 45 extensions can do anything, but I'm worried about costs and also ease of setup and use; do-anything systems have a tendency to be very complicated and user-unfriendly.

Beacon CRM has been mentioned a few times, the people using it seem to have very positive feedback but I haven't found any independent in-depth reviews of it yet.

I've tried to do as much as research as I can, but I still have the sense of not-knowing what I don't know, if that makes sense.

Thank you in advance for any advice.
