Multiple lists

Are there any CRMS out there that allow separate lists for the customer vs the student? It's important that every student is linked to at least one customer, and that every customer is linked to at least one student. Yes a customer can also be the student they are linked to. I haven't found any CRM's that allow these relational connections between different contact types yet.
