( votes)Would investing into any existing software be good idea for a farm business? I’ve read some about farm specific software which are supposed to help predict farm outputs, crop management, expenses. Those sound like nice features but our needs go even beyond that. Our business has multiple locations, and has struggled to maintain and complete analyze all financial data in excel. Also has a retail store, a growing work force to be managed. Basically need to manage many different marketing and sales channels.
If a CRM is worth purchasing which ones would you recommend? Are the farm specific applications worth choosing any of the more mainstream options to best grow our business?
Edit: Just for some more information in case anyone is curious and wants to help out my farm 🙂
We currently don’t track our customers in anyway, for people visiting for picking fruits or vegetables on our farm or at our store locations. I believe digitalization of this information would allow us to better market and keep in touch with our customer base. Our current largest marketing channel is Facebook with about 8000 followers. We are currently in the process of building a website to promote online sales, would a CRM help track that data as well. Could a CRM be integrated with a custom site? In general my family is new to this business and I want to see if I can apply technology in anyway to help them succeed. ChatGPT has been amazing haha
