I am working with a NYC-based $5B non-sponsored lending fund which focuses on writing 1-5 year loans to small businesses seeking loans in the $10M to $50M range. They focus on developing economic models and then lending on specific niche opportunities (e.g. developing a model for the tow truck industry then giving out loans to tow truck companies).

They are currently using DealCloud (an add-on based on Salesforce) as their primary CRM. They are supplementing it with Evernote and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, etc.).

They are wanting to be able to do a deeper level of analytics – e.g. be able to link in the economic models, identifying the number of deals linked to those niche opportunities, track which opportunities are progressing and why/why not as a knowledge base.

I am thinking since they are already using DealCloud, a good option is either to get DealCloud customizations and/or do the work directly in Salesforce. But I think there might be other tools also available that might be well suited? Any ideas?
