( votes)The ability of Power Apps to develop custom apps whether it be by a Dynamics 365 user or a developer, has been astounding. Canvas Apps and Model driven apps, the main types of apps that Power Apps can create, have been gaining popularity since release and Inogic, to help Dynamics 365 community, is always ready to share its findings through blogs and articles. We also have popular blog compilations such as Power Automate, Power Apps Component Frameworks, Canvas Apps, Custom APIs and more to make things easier for readers.
In this blog, we have compiled some of our recent articles on Model driven apps that we hope will help you and other Dynamics 365 users.
One of the important announcements Microsoft made recently is the availability of “Mobile Offline” option for Dynamics 365 CRM. When this feature is enabled, users will be able to interact with their data even without any internet connectivity on the Power Apps mobile app. Any changes or updates made during this offline session will then get synced with Dynamics 365 CRM once the app goes online again. In this blog, we have shown what are the prerequisite security roles to enable the mobile offline feature, and also step by step guide on how to do the same.
The query builder which has been there since inception, has finally received an update. Used by admins and power users alike, it has been one of the most important and beloved features of Dynamics 365 CRM. An advanced filter option has been added to the home page views, an option for additional filter options for the views, and also a new search bar to type whatever you need to search and get the results. While working on client-side scripting for a recent project, we needed to interact with dynamics 365 CRM data using WebAPI and query expressions. And as is it with most cases, we used the current Model driven app AppId to build the WebAPI URLs by using the Dynamics 365 CMR Client API references. The client API references that we used to get the current model-driven app details are getCurrentAppProperties, getCurrentAppName, and getCurretAppUrl. Learn more about the same in this blog.
