User Review
( votes)Introduction:
Recently in Dynamics 365 CRM 2022 release wave1, I came across new capabilities that are added in the Sequence grid.
There are two capabilities that were recently added to help you better understand the sequence and user interactions.
The new capabilities introduced are as below:
- “Sequence Stats”: Used for comparing sequence performance statistics over a selected time frame.
- “Edit Columns”: Used for reshuffling the sequence grid columns.
In this blog, we will look into each of these newly introduced capabilities.
1. Sequence Stats:
Firstly, verify that while setting up Sales accelerator the “Sales Acceleration Reporting PREVIEW” is already enabled in your organization. If it has not been enabled yet then you can refer to previous blog.
In the Sales hub app, change the area and navigate to Sales Insights settings –> Under Sales Accelerator –> select Sequences.
On Sequences page, you will find “Sequence Stats” tab where you can view the data related to all the sequences present in your organization for a particular time frame (for e.g. as shown below “Last 30 days”).
Timeframe: There is drop down available at right most corner where you can select the desired value for which you want to view the data. Below are the timeframes available for selection. Once you select the value from it, the sequence grid gets refreshed to show the data for the selected timeframe.
You can view the information related to Sequences such as “Total Records” and “Success rates” for all record type (i.e. Lead, Account, Opportunity etc.) Sequences.
“Total records”: When you hover over the column you will see the breakdown of the total records linked to these sequences in the selected timeframe with their statuses (Statuses-Completed, In Progress, and Disconnected) as shown below:
If you navigate to the “Sales” area–> under “Sales Analytics” –> click on “Sales Acceleration Reports” you will be navigated to the “Sequence Reporting” page.
Now filter for particular Sequence with Sequence name (e.g. New lead Nurturing) and you will observe a Metric chart named “Sequence status” as shown below:
If you observe carefully the same Metric chart data is made available in sequence grid “Total Records” column as shown below:
“Success rates”: This column displays the success rate for particular sequence in selected timeframe as shown below:
As shown in above screenshot, green indicates improvement, red indicates a downward trend, and orange indicates that there has been no change in the success rate.
You can find more information about “Sequence stats” feature in this doc.
NOTE: If while setting up Sales accelerator or at any time the “Sales Acceleration Reporting PREVIEW” is disabled in your organization by toggling as below, then you can no longer see “Sequence stats” tab on Sequence grid as it gets hidden.
2. Edit Columns:
Previously there was no facility provided to change the columns place. But now the “Edit Columns” feature gives you the facility to reshuffle all the columns that are present in Sequence grid as per your need.
Simply click on “Edit columns” from the Sequence Grid and you will get “Edit Columns” page as shown below:
On the “Edit Columns” page you will observe all the columns in Sequence grid are present and you can drag and drop the columns at any place as per your need.
Let say I want “Total Records” column to be placed after “Success Rates”. For this, I can simply drag “Success Rates” and drop before “Total Records” as shown below:
NOTE: As you can see in the above screenshot the changes in column placement that you performed earlier is reflected instantly/real time in the sequence grid as highlighted above.
At any time, if you want you can reset the changes by clicking on “Reset” button shown on “Edit Columns” page.
Conclusion:
As illustrated above, the stats feature of sequences provides detailed statistics of the performance such as the success rate and the total records in a particular timeframe. This helps to measure the performance of the sequence which is doing better over a timeframe and the edit columns feature gives the facility to users for reshuffling the columns easily in real time within the sequence grid.
