User Review
( votes)If you are working on Dynamics platform, you would know that your login session does time out after some time. The customers usually ask if there is a way to tweak that. There have been tremendous improvements made to Dynamics CRM cloud security and one such feature is the addition of new session and inactivity timeouts.
The default timeout that Microsoft has set for a user session is 24 Hours. However, you can change the settings (Sitewide) through :
Administration -> System Settings
Through these settings you could set the duration before the user session times out and also if you want to give the user a warning a few minutes before it times out.
Also you can enable/disable the timeout settings for if there is inactivity from the user’s end. E.g. if security is a concern for your organization and you don’t want the Dynamics window to stay open while the user is not working on it, it will automatically timeout after a few minutes (which you can specify in the settings).
These settings will only apply to the current instance. In case your organization has multiple instances, they must be changed for each one. These settings are also not enforced in Outlook or mobile.
