Summer is in full swing and our five new interns have filled our office spaces… well, virtually that is. So far, they have been busy learning about our products, e-meeting their Sage Intacct colleagues all over the country, and diving into their roles!
With such a bright group of summer interns, we felt it was important to sit down and get to know each of them a little bit better. Meet our Summer 2020 Class of Sage Intacct Interns!
Axel Eyer received his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara where he majored in Communications. He’s currently enrolled at UC Irvine’s MBA program with a focus in marketing and digital transformation.
Axel is very excited to be working at Sage Intacct this summer on the Product Marketing team and is looking forward to an internship where he can gain hands-on, practical product marketing knowledge to apply during the rest of his career.
In his free time, Axel enjoys playing online games, reading, socially distancing with his friends, exploring local breweries.
Michael Small went to UC Davis for his undergraduate degree and studied Communications with minors in Economics and Professional Writing. After college, Michael traveled all over the world extensively. He taught Academic English and Business Communication courses at a university in China for three years, where he also learned to speak Chinese at a professionally proficient level! Michael is currently enrolled in the Full-Time MBA program at USC.
In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, being a new uncle, and singing. Once he’s able to travel again, he’s already looking forward to planning his next adventure!
During his internship at Sage Intacct, Michael will be working with the Product Marketing team on various projects ranging from demand-generation materials to sales collateral. He looks forward to diving right in and having an immediate impact this summer.
Megan Stallworth completed her undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies at Barnard College in New York City. While in college, Megan taught the math section of the SATs to high school students and realized she very much enjoyed teaching! Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Megan got her Master’s in Math and Education from Brooklyn College and taught high school math in Brooklyn.
When she moved to the Bay Area, Megan worked with first generation college student candidates to support them through their middle and high school educational programs.
Megan later enrolled in law school and just finished her first year at Santa Clara Law, where she volunteered during her first semester at the Entrepreneurs’ Legal Advising Clinic to provide small business owners who are on a limited income the legal advice they require. Mariana Antcheva, Sage Intacct’s Vice President of Legal, was Megan’s supervising attorney at the Clinic and suggested Megan apply for an internship at Sage Intacct!
During her time interning on the Legal team at Sage Intacct this summer, Megan is looking forward to gaining practical legal advice, learning how the legal department functions in a large organization, and how corporate law gets put into practice.
When she’s not working, Megan enjoys planning her post-COVID dream vacations, spending time with her five-year-old daughter, cooking, and reading.
