Microsoft Power BI roadmap includes semantic models, Power Platform touch points, Synapse Analytics interop

During the first ever virtual Business Applications Summit, Microsoft shared new stats on Power BI and details about expanding feature sets.

Now in its fifth year, Power BI is in use by over 150,000 organizations and continues to experience triple digit usage growth, according to Arun Ulagaratchagan, CVP of Business Intelligence Platform at Microsoft in a presentation the virtual event. Two million developers are using the service, which supports 43 languages and three national clouds (the US, China and Germany), with usage across over 40 different data centers.
