‘Classify as tangible product’! What the heck does that mean?
On his blog, a seemingly frustrated Guy Terry noted that he’s had enough of the “classify as tangible product” parameter that you can set on categories in a sales or procurement category. And as such, he decided to figure out exactly what it does.
After doing a little investigating, he realized that what little documentation there is for this parameter is misleading. But even more “amazing” is the fact that he couldn’t find anything written about it on Google (or even Bing).
In his blog, Terry offered a description of the functionality linked to the “classify as a tangible product” parameter based on a trawl through an AX 2012 R3 AOT.
Perhaps I missed something (likely), and perhaps something has changed in F&O, but this has to be better than nothing.
