Books or structured CRM resource

Hi,

Can anyone recommend some structured resources (preferably books) to understand CRM from ground up – strategy, selection of partners, basic tech, analysis, hurdles to implementation/ adoption, trends and anything that a marketing head needs to know before rallying resources and committing investments.

There are a plethora of blogs and videos and I am drowning in information 😞
