Ellucian Recruit to work with SalesForce marketing cloud (email communications)

Hello! I have been trying to find a solution for this for over a year, so I thought my fellow redditors would be able to help!

I work for a post-secondary institution in Canada and we have just signed a contract with Ellucian Recruit for a CRM. I am responsible for email marketing/communications and am having a hard time getting Ellucian Recruit and SalesForce to talk to each other.

I want to be able to use as much dynamic content in the emails for personalization.

If anyone has used these two beasts together, I would love your insight and expertise!
