Sage Intacct’s new Visual Explorer does just what the name implies – it allows users to explore the critical decision-making data in ways that are immediately understandable. Those familiar with Microsoft Power BI know the value of creating and sharing data visualizations. Those familiar with Power BI have also been asking “How do I get Power BI for Intacct?”.

The PowerBI team Alta Vista Technology has a storied track record of making meaningful analytics possible. But do you really need an external tool to visualize your Sage Intacct data?

Now, we can do it all in Sage Intacct.

Sage Intacct Interactive Visual Explorer

The Interactive Visual Explorer makes the data come alive. The visualizations include all the information that Sage Intacct has meticulously maintained. We can visualize data across multiple entities and dimensions to instantly make sense of the information.

Better still, the analytics are truly Interactive – depending on how the reports are constructed, imagine clicking on one section of a chart and having your selection cascade
throughout other components.

See the animation as an example: one of the pre-built visualizations shows a breakdown of what percentage of customers pay one time compared to those who pay late. The second part of the graph shows a ranking of customers, while the third shows a breakdown per year. But a user could click the late payment part of the graph and then the other sections change to be a deep dive into just those customers who paid late.

This example contains a set of dropdowns at the top to allow the users to filter by other dimensions, timeframes, or status:

Easily Accessible, Built on the Platform

This demonstrates the very best part of technology, where one tool can be used ad hoc by talented and creative users to gain valuable insight. Instead of going through a committee to scope a report, we put a polished interactive interface in the hands of those who can use it.

The data is contained in Sage Intacct, so the reporting is never out of sync or late. The reports can be embedded on dashboards to make them even more accessible.

While this can replace the dependency on Excel, Sage Intacct still allows for users to use their pet tools. Interactive Visual Explorer exports to PowerPoint, PDF, CSV, and yes, Excel. Allowing you to share with non-Sage Intacct users or to continue the story.
