Nimble Helped Me to Stay on Top Of My Follow-Ups

As a solopreneur wearing multiple hats, Paul was constantly faced with the issue of staying on top of follow-ups. Since he basically lives in his inbox, he was looking for a tool that would help him manage follow-ups straight from his Outlook. He found help in the Nimble Prospector browser extension and Outlook add-in.

“A huge problem you face as a solopreneur is that when you get busy, you don’t reach out, you don’t follow-up or communicate with either your existing or prospective clients. I’ve been waiting for a tool that would help me semi-automate these tasks right from within my Outlook. A tool that would help me to set up reminders.”

Paul says that most of his new business comes from his existing clients and was struggling with the fact that, during busy periods, he was unable to spend almost any time on nurturing the relationships he had spent so much time and effort building.

“Nimble has made it easier for me to manage my tasks and nurture my existing relationships, which is crucial because most of my business comes from recommendations from them.”

How I Measure My Success with the Nimble Dashboard

“Another problem that we have in our industry, and especially as solopreneurs, is that we don’t really measure our outcomes. We don’t measure the income that’s coming,  what’s happened, or even how many new contacts we might have made in the last few days. Nimble has helped me to create a customizable dashboard that shows me just that.”

To begin measuring his successes, Paul started using Deals in Nimble and track them on his pipeline as well as on Today Page. Nimble’s Today page is a customizable dashboard on which users can determine which widgets they want to see. We currently offer three sales-related widgets that help our users to get a quick view into how many deals they have open, how much money is in their pipelines, as well as to visualize their deals in a funnel or pipeline chart.

What systems do you use in your business? Do you use any integrations with Nimble?

I run my business on Office 365 and Outlook and currently integrate my MailChimp with Nimble. I plan a transition to Quickbooks Online and using Nimble’s integration with PieSync to sync these two applications as well.

What would you change about Nimble? Do you have any feedback for us?

I would love to see the ability to schedule emails to send later as well as being able to create nicer email signatures.

Do you have any tips for other Nimble Users?

I would recommend that they spend some time cleaning up their database. It really pays off in the long run.
