Hello, 2020! Before we get too caught up on resolutions and goals for the new year, let’s take a minute to recap the past year. For us, 2019 was definitely a memorable year. We brought on 50 new team members, introduced new business strategies that will advance our company and our customers’, held a user conference that was one to remember, and had Deacom artisans stepping up to share their expertise on some hot topics.

Below are some of our blog’s most popular articles of 2019.

This article is part of our “Beyond the Job Description” series where we dive into what it is really like to hold that position at Deacom and what type of individuals will most likely excel in the role.

As we continue to scale our business, the Implementation Consultant position is one that we have seemingly an infinite number of openings for. These professionals play a key role in identifying opportunities and crafting strategies that drive success for our customers and company. This article gives a much more detailed explanation of this role than your typical job description, explaining why this may be your dream job if you like to rack up frequent flier miles and hate Debbie Downers!

Perhaps the biggest and most exciting Deacom news of the year was when we announced our plans to expand into Europe. This was a strategic decision to not just attract new business from other countries but support our customers that are growing their businesses internationally as well.

Since the announcement, we have officially put down roots in Frankfurt, Germany and have started the search to build our international team.

Month-end closing (cue the cringe) can sometimes take up to six days to complete, pulling valuable accounting resources away from focusing growth strategies. Deacom’s Eugene Friesen dives into the value of a rolling close process and shares how DEACOM can help reduce the frustrations associated with the daunting month-end closing.

Teasdale Foods, leading manufacturer and provider of Hispanic food products, has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years both organically and through acquisitions. Currently operating with six different facilities, the company looked to DEACOM to provide a common and centralized ERP environment throughout the entire business. We sat down with Teasdale CEO, Chris Kiser, to talk more about his team’s experience with Deacom before, during, and after implementation.

Each year, our employees and customers look forward to our annual user conference. It’s a unique opportunity to collaborate with software experts and industry peers on all things manufacturing and DEACOM ERP. Not long after the dust settled from 2019’s event, we announced plans for our 15th annual conference which will be held at the Hilton Philadelphia Penn’s Landing on April 21-23, 2020.

Early last month, we opened registration for the event and have already been impressed by the volume of registrations already coming through. If you haven’t already, make sure you secure your spot at this year’s event now to save up to $300 on your registration!

Now how can we top last year? Stay tuned because we might have a few tricks up our sleeves!
